The actor’s fall does not stop Armie Hammer. The 35-year-old American star exploded with “call me by your name“, a film directed by Luca Guadagnino, where he played Oliver, the handsome, intelligent and carefree twenty-four-year-old American Jew who has a homosexual love affair with Elio, a sensitive and polite teenager, played by Timothee Chalamet.
But Hammer’s upward career came to an abrupt halt at January 2021 when an ex-girlfriend, flanked by other women, accused him of alleged harassment, which later turned into rape allegations. An anonymous Instagram account then published several conversations, not officially confirmed as truthful, between the actor and several women between 2016 and 2020, while Hammer was still married (with Elizabeth Chambers) and in which the actor confesses to having BDSM sexual fantasies (a term that identifies the wide range of relational-erotic practices such as bondage, domination and submission, sadism and masochism), such as blood, violence, rape and cannibalism.
After the accusations and the scandal, the actor was removed from Hollywood and transferred to Cayman Islands where he works as a timeshare salesman and janitor. But the Hammer case is not over. In fact, one is on the way. docuseries that would nail him permanently.
“House of Hammer” is the title of the three episodes of the docu signed by elli hakami Y Julian P. Hobbs – to be released on September 2 on the Discovery + platform – detailing the chilling accusations raised against the actor and the dark legacy of the Hammer dynasty. Thanks to exclusive access and shocking revelations, the documentary takes viewers inside the dark power games of the Hammer family, for three hours of truly eloquent viewing.
“The allegations of rape and abuse made against Armie Hammer in recent years are just the tip of the iceberg when you consider the whole hammer family. She adds: “This documentary provides an important platform for brave women who have come forward and shared their stories. We hope that their bravery will help continue the debate about abuse in our society.”
In the docuseries, I’m talking two former from the star of “Call Me By Your Name” Courtney Vucekovich Y Julia Morrison. Both reveal the messages they would have received from Hammer. “At first everything was perfect, says Vucekovich in the document, but then things changed. He is someone who pushes the limits little by little, until it becomes totally his. He once wrote to me: ‘I am 100% cannibal‘. It scared the hell out of me.” Among the items collected by “House of Hammer” is also that of Armie’s own aunt, Casey Hammer, who confesses: “When this story came out, I wasn’t surprised at all. It’s not like you wake up one day and suddenly become such a dark and manipulative person.” The aunt went further by stating, “This behavior has deep roots,” suggesting that, in fact, the entire family would go easy on this kind of perversion.
Each episode of the docuseries sheds light on a depraved model of abuse that goes far beyond the charges brought against the disgraced actor. Enriched with never-before-seen archive footage, “House of Hammer” weaves a chilling tale of dysfunction Y malignancy concocted behind decades of power and money.
