Plenary session yesterday at the Primark ribbon cutting, the made in Ireland store, in the Gran Reno shopping center, in the presence of managers, managers and commercials and the mayor of Casalecchio di Reno, Massimo Bosso.
Dozens of people lined up to wait for the doors to open and start shopping at the 4,400 m2 store on two levels, from women’s, men’s, children’s clothing, but also beauty and lifestyle, to homewear.
For the Klépierre Group, this is the eleventh Primark store in Italy and “it is part of an important
association agreement stipulated between the two companies, which provides for other openings within its own
real estate portfolio in Italy. The next stops will be in Turin, at the Shopville Le Gru shopping center, in Caserta at the Campania shopping center, both by the end of the year, and Venice, inside the Nave De Vero shopping center in 2023”, they say.
“Primark’s ribbon cutting in Gran Reno represents a further step in the process of growth and modernization of our entire Italian portfolio – said Luis Pires, CEO of Klépierre Italia -, on the one hand, in fact, it consolidates the role of leadership of the shopping center located in Casalecchio
within the reference catchment area; on the other hand, it gives continuity to the strategic development plan of the
Klepierre’s asset. The objective is to continue along this path of innovation and improvement,
intercept market excellence in all product sectors and consolidate the leadership of
The Klépierre portfolio in Italy”.
Luca Ciuffreda, Director of Primark in Italy, stated that “We are very excited to open
this new store marks the 11th in the country and continues our expansion strategy in Italy. It was important for us to enter a new region, Emilia-Romagna, to bring our extraordinary offer to more and more Italian customers. In fact, since our first opening in 2016, customers have always received us with great enthusiasm and we know that this has not changed and we are looking forward to welcoming our new customers to our store in the Gran Reno shopping center.”
A brand with 10 million followers
10 million brand followers around the world for the chain, which in Casalecchio also represents a job opportunity, as Ciuffreda explained to Bologna Today: “Despite the certainly complex historical period and despite the time of year when we opened here in Bologna (we are in the middle of summer, even close to mid-August) the recruitment campaign has already made it possible to identify most of the colleagues who will expand the already large Primark family, but there are several positions still open, which can also be consulted on our website and in traditional contracting channels”.
